Bonjour !
I'm a marine biologist whose research explores the life cycle and population dynamics of marine pelagic calcifiers such as planktonic Foraminifera and Pteropods. I graduated (PhD) from the University of Angers, France, in late 2015 and joined the Arctic University of Tromsø, Norway for my first postdoctoral research contract.
During my PhD and in Norway I specialised in the ecology and contribution of pelagic calcifiers, from polar regions and environments, to the marine carbon export.
I later joined MARUM, at the University of Bremen, DE, before starting her CNRS research position at CEREGE in early 2025. There, and based on my findings on planktonic foraminifera reproduction in laboratory (Meilland et al., 2023 & 2024) I develop and manage the COntinuous REproduction for Foraminifera Facility (COREFF). I am also a modern foraminifera expert in taxonomy.
With more than a year and half spent at sea through 20 research cruise from Antarctica to the Arctic, I have a tremendous field experience - strengthening my fundamental understanding of plankton ecology and population dynamics.
